Craftsmanship and safety standards set Sunlighten apart. We are the only manufacturer with ETL certification. ETL-certified components are installed, including wiring and electronics. A third-party company has tested our VOC levels to find only trace levels with no airborne metals, sulfur dioxide, or carbon black.
Our saunas are made with 100% premium wood throughout the entire cabin – no hidden plywood. All wood is ¾” tongue-and-groove for greater strength and durability. Extensive third-party testing has been conducted to ensure all our materials are safe and non-toxic.
Patented Heating Technology
Sunlighten’s patented SoloCarbon® infrared heating technology defines us. It’s the “sun” in Sunlighten saunas…without the UV, of course. To stimulate health benefits, saunas need a source to emit high concentrations of peak infrared waves—not just heat. Sunlighten’s heating technology delivers the highest quantity and quality of infrared available for you to feel better and do more.
With custom, you have the option of Sunlighten’s patented SoloCarbon far infrared and full spectrum heaters providing additional far, mid and near infrared wavelengths.
ADA Compliant (upon request)
Your Sunlighten account manager will work with your general contractor to ensure your sauna is 100% ADA compliant. This includes ensuring the floorboards are installed flush to the adjoining floor or omitted or include a 1:12 ramp with safety rails and brushed finish to prevent slipping.
The door will be configured to allow full wheelchair access with a 36” door and an easy-pull handle with 60” x 60” turning space. There are multiple bench variations to meet ADA requirements, including no benches, a half bench, or a full bench option. The Sunlighten control panel can be placed at mid-level to accommodate access while in a wheelchair.
Beverly Hills Mansion
A retired professional baseball player requested his builder work with Sunlighten to design a custom infrared sauna for his home gym. The space integrates a changing room outside the sauna doors and wrap-around benches. He and his family enjoy stepping into their beautiful sauna for post-workout recovery.

Custom Bathroom Sauna
This custom sauna was built for a client who needed their sauna to have tall ceilings in their bathroom to accommodate a person of great height. Eucalyptus wood was incorporated on both the interior and exterior.
Yoga Studio Custom Sauna
This hot yoga studio needed 10′ ceilings allowing for full range of motion in an ADA-compliant commercial space. The sauna was designed with removable benches to maximize the interior space for instructor-led yoga. In addition, the floor was designed to support spin classes.
